Please visit Part 2 of our Unit Study!

If you haven't discovered Homeschool Share, check them out. Most of this lapbook came from this link. We also love Lapbook Lessons Butterfly page and resources! There really are several wonderful free resources for lapbooking and we just work our way through one or two activities at a time!

Butterfly Garden Kit Insect Lore butterfly unit study homeschool preschool

Here's our Painted Lady larvae from Insect Lore. It goes with our Butterfly Garden Kit. We love this kit and this is our second time using it. Mr. T and Mr. F have both enjoyed watching the butterflies now that they have hatched!

Some of our other goodies are shown here: Insect Lore Butterfly Life Cycle Stages, Peterson First Guide to Butterflies and Moths, and Caterpillar to Butterfly, a really great pre-K and lower elementary explanation of butterfly life cycles.

And here is our stack from the library. Oh how I love the library! My favorite so far is Waiting for Wings! The illustrations are wonderful, and I may have to add that title to our library!
