Laras place and a cup of grace about Lara
We've Moved! Join us at laramolettiere.com! All the same great fun, just at a new address!

Hi! I'm Lara. This is my journal, my sharing place and my heart. First and foremost, I am a sinner saved by God's amazing grace. I am wife and help-meet to John. We are blessed with two beautiful boys, Teddy (Mr. T) and Frederick (Mr. F). We live near Atlanta and I'm very much a Southern girl at heart, even if I do drink unsweet tea (gasp!). Don't be surprised when I slip up and say ya'll, bless their hearts, or Amen! It's a Southern thing. I'm a bookworm and a bibliophile and I'm running out of shelf space. I'm a lover of hot teas of many varieties. I may or may not get behind on dusting, leave dishes in the sink and forget to put the wash in the dryer but I am learning that grace is a beautiful thing in this messy parenting world.
We are a homeschooling family and have been since the very start. Mr. T has Apraxia of Speech, a neuro-motor planning speech disorder, and being able to stay home and teach him here has been an incredible blessing. We use a multitude of learning styles including Montessori, Charlotte Mason, unit studies, lapbooks, and interest led learning. We also do lots of extra speech therapy at home and are on the GAPS diet so if I'm not writing I'm probably running between the kitchen and the homeschool room using PROMPT to help Mr. T say "broth" as properly as possible. It's a process.

We love to have adventures and try new things. Mind you, I don't like being underground and I prefer to be on solid ground but we have been in caverns and on boats, proof that homeschooling can make weird things happen. I love taking the boys to new places like Opryland Hotel when we went to Teach Them Diligently (affiliate) in Nashville this year. I was so encouraged there that I came home and created a For Mom page here where I share books, blogs, conferences and more that have helped me find encouragement for motherhood, marriage and everything else. There's also my Homeschool for Mom board on Pinterest filled with nuts and bolts encouragement and lots of veteran mom wisdom.

I love doing reviews and the occasional giveaway. We like age appropriate curriculum, books for the boys and/or mom, DVDs and anything that helps teach us more about God and the way we should go.  If you have a product you would like us to review or if you are interested in our other Media/PR opportunities please email hello {at} laramolettiere.com.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Now grab a cup of your favorite hot tea and sit a spell, peruse, and be sure to leave comments and questions. Ya'll come back soon!
