It's getting to be that time of year again! With all the holly and jolly and 2 inch think toy catalogs, it is hard for our little ones to really remember that it's about giving. Not getting! What better way to remind them than to learn about the man behind the red suit? Here is a little mini unit fun for you and your little ones.
The books we have used at our house are:
The Legend of Saint Nicholas by Demi. This is one of the most beautiful picture books we have. The illustrations are modeled after illuminated manuscripts. Mr. T will spend hours just looking at the pages.
The True Saint Nicholas by William Bennett is full of the legends, history, why's and how's of Saint Nicholas to Santa.
