Water Play!

There isn't much to say about water play except that it is a lot of fun for mom and baby. Mr. T loves getting to pour, transfer, use the big ladle (we have to get a new one as he decided to share the one pictured with our lab), and cool off during the heat by sitting in the tub of water. We've had a lot of fun with this the last two weeks!

Fungus Amongus class at Cochran Mill Nature Center

So we had a wonderful time on our family field trip to Cochran Mill Nature Center for a class on Fungus! Mr. T had a blast with his sweet friends playing outside and looking for the scavenger hunt clues about mushrooms. He really enjoyed taking apart his mushroom and looking through the big viewer.

He didn't quite get the microscope, but at 2, we'll cut him some slack. And he thought the mushroom tasted great! (No, that wasn't part of the experiment, but what can you do with an all boy toddler who likes to eat?)

We also got a Back to the Roots mushroom kit we are starting today so look for our review of the yummy fungus we are going to grow! :)

Checking out the hairy fibers of the mushroom stem.

The alligator is cool, but I like the balloon better.

Very studious homeschoolers!

Searching outside for mushroom clues!

Nature Time: Line Creek

Line Creek Nature area a few weeks ago right before it got cold. We had a super fun time with friends and I have never seen Mr. T so intrigued by nature. I hopefully have a little outdoors man on my hands, after all. And he loved the frigid stream water. How are you spending your ourdoor time now that is has gotten cold?
