I am glad to be weak

But God . . . What powerful words. But God . . . knows my heart and what it needs. But God . . . knows my day and is already there in every corner of it. But God . . . knows my children and what they need. But God . . . stretches out His arms of grace to me at every turn just the way  I stretch out my arms to my baby boy who is learning to walk.

And just like my baby boy, I stumble and fall. His legs are weak, my spirit gets weary. His steps are unsure because he is learning and trying something new, mine are unstable when I try and do it by myself. I take his hands and guide him as he grows stronger and learns how to move his feet and legs together and someday he will not need me for this task. But God, He trains us to equip us for the next step in our calling. Every beautiful difficult task we become adept at is just preparing us for the next task where we begin with baby steps again. Unsure, faith weary and weak and that is when we turn to Him.

"And he said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

I take joy in my trials, in my weakness and in the glorious grace of my Savior! What verse has been impressed on your heart this week?
